Final Draw Winners Share Joy and Gratitude
B. James – Grand Prize #1 $750,000 winner
B. James of Tucson cried tears of joy when she got the call from TMC Mega Raffle Director, Kathy Rice, and heard she was the 2025 Grand Prize winner of $750,000. Ms. James retired from a decades long career in the healthcare industry and spent her last nine years as a unit secretary inthe ER for TMC. She said she enters the TMC Mega Raffle every year to support her local hospital. This year, she purchased one ticket and a 15-pack for the 50/50 Jackpot. As the news of winning started to sink in, she said, “This will allow me to help so many people and organizations that I love.” Ms. James also plans to get some work done in her backyard.
D. Chantengco – Grand Prize #2 – $150,000
Mr. Chantengco said he could not stop smiling after learning he is the 2025 Grand Prize #2 winner of $150,000. Mr. Chantengco is a retired Tucson firefighter who has entered the TMC Mega Raffle for the past seven years. “It’s the only raffle I participate in. The odds are fantastic,and I love that it supports our local hospitals.” In previous years, he’s won smaller prizes and been thrilled. “I would have been excited if I’d won anything, but this is jaw-dropping.” Sharing the news with his wife, he told her to start planning her dream vacation for the family to see the gorillas in Rwanda.
A.Burton – 50/50 Jackpot winner – $584,370
Mrs. Burton of Green Valley was speechless when she got the call to let her know she won the 50/50 Jackpot and would be splitting $1,168,750 with TMC Health. Mrs. Burton and her husband moved to Green Valley from Texas eight years ago when they both retired. The coupleparticipate in the TMC Mega Raffle every year because they believe it is important to support local healthcare, but they never won a prize until now. Mrs. Burton said winning the 50/50 Jackpot is life-changing for them. She wants to use some of the Jackpot money to get her husband a power wheelchair and help pay off debt. Mrs. Burton adds, “It’s not a matter of just winning a prize, we always enter because it’s important to support medical care in our community.”
C. Baxley – 2025 Honda Prologue and $18,000 cash
Mr. Baxley is a retired Veteran and a University of Arizona graduate who said he enjoys entering the TMC Mega Raffle every year because he likes the challenge. He’s always surprised when he wins something. One year he won a set of china; another year he won a cooler that plugs into his car lighter. This year was big – Mr. Baxley won the 2025 Honda Prologue and $18,000 cash. “ My wife is going to be surprised when I tell her she’s going to get to drive it.” Mr. Baxley served in the Korean War, and he lived in Alaska for 33 years before returning to Tucson 15 years ago. He and his wife would come out for football games and decided to come back for the weather. He said he is pleased and grateful to TMC for the Mega Raffle.
K. Dunn – 2025 Audi Q4 e-ton and $18,000 Cash
Ms. Dunn is a Sierra Vista resident who started entering the TMC Mega Raffle 10 years ago when her Dad received cardio care and her friend had a baby in the NICU. “The care was amazing! I saw signs up in the hospital and thought it would be nice to enter – I’ve been buying tickets ever since.” Ms. Dunn never won a prize until this year when she won the 2025 Audi Q4 e-ton and $18,000 cash.
B. Campbell – 2025 Toyota Camry XSE Hybrid FWD and $14,000 cash
B. Campbell started volunteering at TMC when she and her husband moved to the area two years ago and they’ve been entering the Mega Raffle ever since. “My Mother is a frequent stayer at TMC, so I thought it would be nice to volunteer and do what we can to support TMC – it’s our hospital.” Ms. Campbell volunteers weekly at Teal Saguaro. She also volunteers in hospice and wrapping holiday gifts. She was thrilled to learn she won the 2025 Toyota Camry XSE Hybrid FWD plus $14,000 cash. “This is incredible!”
